The popularity and effectiveness of the AMG mastermind groups (as shown by the growing size of our waiting list) is tremendously exciting – to me and to all of the members. They know they have created a uniquely supportive environment that is enabling them to thrive within this industry. When seats do open up, we select folks from the waiting list to invite in based on (among other factors) the recommendation of the member who referred them, the ease with which we can find their marketing materials and videos of their work via Google, and the progress they’ve made in their career thus far. I’m asked quite frequently by folks on the waiting list when – or if – we are going to start a new group to accommodate those who want to participate. Starting a new group depends on two factors which have to align: availability in my schedule and the ability to completely FILL the group with 22 awesome people. A large waiting list doesn’t mean we automatically have enough folks who’d be able to meet on the chosen day and time. That’s why we are letting the list grow a bit more.
